This artist’s rendering shows The Howard Hughes Corp.’s planned Ko’ula mixed-use condominium in Honolulu. The 41-story building will have 570 units.
Ko’ula is Howard Hughes’ 7th planned tower in it’s Ward Village masterplan. Planned for the “second row” Ko’ula condos will have great ocean views with limited obstruction from “First row” buildings. Ko’ula will feature 570 residential units with 64 reserved housing units. There will be over 58,000 square feet of commercial space, 58,000 square feet of outdoor/indoor recreational space and over 10,000 of open space on the ground level.
The residences will consist of studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom residences. Sizes will range from ~300 sq. ft. up to ~1500 sq. ft. of interior living area. Sales at Ko’ula are expected to start late 2018 or early 2019, assuming the developer completes the entitlement process, and construction could start in late 2019.

Ko’ula is planned for a site next to the Ward Entertainment Center on Auahi Street, where a group of warehouse buildings was recently demolished. The tower will have a mauka-makai (North-South) orientation, with the long side facing the soon to be developed Ward Village Central Plaza, which will be an idea from Central Park in New York. Its 4-acre oasis of lawns, trees, and flowing water features feeding on the natural springs in the area. A central gathering place with direct harbor & ocean views for Ward Village residents and visitors to enjoy. It’s the best neighborhood in the most ideal location, on the best island.

Ko’ula will be adjacent to the largest Whole Foods Market in Hawaii, and a short stroll to the Ward Entertainment Center & a new Longs Drugs store as well as a multitude of other shopping & dining options at your door-step.
